This policy covers two things: the website at cureris.me and the Cureris OCR mobile app for iOS and Android. They work very differently, and we call out those differences explicitly below rather than describing them as one product.
Cureris OCR is built so that your documents never leave your device.
The website is more conventional and does involve limited, purpose-specific data collection:
Cureris.me and Cureris OCR are not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information through the website, contact us and we will delete it.
Cureris OCR content lives only on your device, under your control, for as long as you keep it; you can delete it at any time from within the app. Website form submissions (name, email, message) are retained only as long as needed to respond to your inquiry and to maintain a basic business record of the correspondence. To request deletion of a form submission you sent us, email info@cureris.me with the email address you submitted the form with, and we will delete the corresponding record.
Cureris OCR stores document images and extracted data in an encrypted local database on your device; nothing is stored in the cloud. On the website side, we apply reasonable access controls to the systems that receive form submissions and limit access to personnel who need it to respond to you. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cureris OCR is a document capture and transcription tool. It is not a medical device, does not provide medical advice or diagnosis, and does not replace the judgment of a licensed healthcare professional. Always verify extracted information against the original document and consult a qualified professional for any clinical decision.
For consumer use of Cureris OCR, Cureris is not acting as a HIPAA "covered entity" or "business associate" — the app has no server component that receives, stores, or transmits your document data, so there is nothing for us to hold on your behalf under HIPAA. Clinical or organizational deployments of Cureris products (for example, our Document Intelligence service for healthcare organizations) are governed by a separate written agreement with the organization, not by this policy.
European Economic Area / UK. If you are located in the EEA or UK, our lawful basis for processing website form submissions is your consent (submitting the form) and our legitimate interest in responding to your inquiry. You have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of the personal data we hold about you, and the right to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@cureris.me.
California. If you are a California resident, note that we do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. You may still have rights to know, delete, or correct personal information we hold about you under the CCPA; contact us at info@cureris.me to make a request.
We may update this policy from time to time as our website or app changes. We will update the "Last updated" date above when we do. If changes are significant, we will take reasonable steps to make that clear, such as noting it on this page.
